CNED (National Distance for Center Education)

Created in 1939 National Centre for Distance Education (CNED) is a national structure which supports 30000 college students (secondary school) and 50000 lyceum students (high school). CNED is under the jurisdiction of the French Ministry of National Education and provides education for a large number of students in more than one hundred French schools abroad. CNED courses are designed to meet the requirements of the official programme. Therefore, students at any time can move from one middle school / high school to another, where the training is conducted according to the French programme. Regardless if this educational institution is a member of AEFE or is located in France.

CNED tutoring in Nur-Sultan French School comprises of classes from Grade 6 to the final class (Terminale). Classes are conducted in accordance with the schedule fixed by French Ministry of national education. Students attend them individually or in groups, depending on the number of students in the classes. The pedagogical team consists of teachers from the Ministry of National Education.

The pedagogical team of the French School of Nur-Sultan explains, accompanies and supplements the classes, ensure students progress. Assignments are completed in the classrooms under a teacher’s supervision. Students’ assignments are scanned by the educational establishment and sent for inspection to CNED (time for evaluation is less than one week).

Moreover, the Nur-Sultan French School provides a native speaker teacher for Russian language, following the official programme of French Ministry of National Education. Examinations are offered to prepare for the National Diploma of College and Undergraduate (Diplôme National du Brevet et du Baccalauréat).
