High school

The purpose of High school (Grades 10, 11 and 12) is to provide students with solid knowledge in Humanities and Sciences, develop Critical Thinking and competencies in Listening, Speaking and Written tasks. It also aims to develop skills in analysis “complex problems connected to the challenges of modern society”. Finally, High School, prepares students to sit for the French Baccalaureate exam in Grade 11 and Grade 12.

In Grade 10, subjects are divided into two groups: compulsory subjects, and opotional subjects according to students’ preferences (Third Foreign language, Latin, Greek etc… ).

In Grade 11 subjects are divided into two groups: General compulsory (French, Philosophy, History-Geography, Moral and Civic Education, first foreign language, second foreign language, PE, Mathematics) and Special Elective subjects (3 out of 10).

In grade 12, General compulsory (French, Philosophy, history-geography, moral and civic education, first foreign language, second foreign language, PE, sciences) and students have only 2 Special Elective subjects out of 3 chosen before in Grade 11.
